Trump's Granddaughter Gets Expert Tips from Golf Legend Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete boasts substantial online audience
Kai Trump can count on numerous prominent cheerleaders as she begins her LPGA debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, received a sponsor's invitation to participate at the Annika tournament in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses numerous international courses and frequently plays against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we have competitive games," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, counseled her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He basically advised me to play and relax," she added.
"In my eyes, he's just an ordinary family member. He won't be there this weekend. He's busy with world affairs, making him somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in a mere three competitions in 2024 and has ranking 461 in AJGA standings.
But she's able to receive tips from Tiger Woods, romantically involved with her mother.
"He is the top athlete worldwide," the young golfer said.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He told me to play, relax, and go with the flow."
She'll challenge some of most prominent players in women's golf at this tournament, featuring world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and last year's winner champion Vu.
Tournament organizers mentioned that Kai's presence brings the sport to wider groups, particularly among younger fans.
The social media influencer maintains a massive following and recently launched a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
Her first tee time at 5:30 PM GMT.
