Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Required to Land in UK Because of Crack in Cockpit Window
An aircraft carrying Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was compelled to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday following a fracture was identified in the aircraft's cockpit window, as stated by an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The aircraft touched down based on standard procedures and everyone onboard, such as Pete Hegseth, is safe," an official representative commented in a public statement.
He was traveling back from a quick journey to the city of Brussels during the flight.
This incident does not mark the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a senior official has suffered technical problems.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft carrying the US Secretary of State to Munich was forced to return to Washington DC after experiencing a mechanical fault.
