On Monday, Leicester Crown Court heard communication data and data obtained from phones recorded Ms Wandelt persistently demanding Madeleine's mother for a genetic test during the past two years.

Madeleine's vanishing in 2007 - as a three-year-old during a family holiday in Portugal - is one of the most publicized investigations and is still open.

'I Am Not Seeking Money'

A separate recorded message, played in court, captured Ms Wandelt declaring: "I understand I'm fat and not pretty like Madeleine used to be, but I believe what I believe."

While one recording of Ms Wandelt's monologues with Mrs McCann's recording said: "What if there is a tiny probability that I am she? What happens next? Wouldn't that be important for you?"

"I don't want money, I have a living here in Poland, I only wish to know," the message continued.

The tribunal was advised that via emails, text messages and calls, Ms Wandelt demanded a biological test, sent childhood photos to her phone in a effort to show a likeness to Mrs McCann's disappeared daughter, and stated to have "flashbacks" from a youth with the McCanns.

Robert Jones, an investigator with law enforcement who collated the data, advised the court there "seemed to lack any answers" from Mrs McCann.

Ms Wandelt also reached out to close associates of the McCanns, based on the phone records.

On October 9th, 2024, Mr McCann picked up a communication from Ms Wandelt to his wife's phone, saying she had "the wrong phone."

That day Ms Wandelt deposited a recording on Mrs McCann's answerphone saying "I won't give up and I intend to demonstrate my claim."

The court heard the co-defendant established a relationship via internet with Ms Wandelt preceding assisting her on a visit to the McCanns' residence in the county in last December.

Call logs demonstrated Mrs Spragg had contacted through messaging service to Mrs McCann to state the news outlets had portrayed Ms Wandelt as "emotionally disturbed" but that she deserved to be treated respectfully in the months preceding the visit to the village, Leicestershire, in December 2024.

The court was told communications between the two defendants, in November 2024, planning endeavoring to acquire Mrs McCann's biological evidence from her trash or from silverware at a dining venue.

"We need to make a stand," Mrs Spragg advised Ms Wandelt.

On the evening of the appearance to their house, Mrs Spragg transmitted a communication which expressed: "We are sitting outside the McCanns' house with our headlights off like detectives. I had hoped to achieve this with another person I never thought I would be doing that with the McCanns."

The proceedings ongoing.
